It’s a sad fact that drug use, and the consequences that follow have been rising in smaller communities over the last decade. Amid the headlines about community activities and plans for recycling are shocking and overwhelming headlines about drug use, trafficking, and deaths as a result. One of the reasons people move to smaller communities is to avoid that sort of trouble, yet it comes. It may be one of the local people, or someone from the outside. It isn’t until the alcoholic or drug addict is forced to face the realities that healing can begin for everyone.
